Gastric /Acid Reflux
Gastric Reflux or Acid reflux is a common condition that features a burning pain, known as heartburn, in the lower chest area.
It is caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat. Acid reflux happens when the gastroesophageal sphincter fails and stomach acid regurgitates into the esophagus. Visceral manipulation helps the gastroesophageal sphincter to function normally again.
Other Causes of Acid Reflux
Stress and anxiety may also stimulate the stomach to secrete more acid than usual. This can trigger abdominal cramp which will create discomfort in the stomach, difficulties in breathing and lack of appetite.
Visceral manipulation helps relax the cramp muscle in the stomach and abdominal and restore normal tension of the stomach.
